This is probably a little premature because we don’t yet have the vehicle. But the experience we had at Dover Honda this past Saturday warranted a few positive comments. Let me first say that we have always been very loyal to another brand and dealer. But that brand seems to be a little lost in the woods these days. We identified three other manufacturers and dealers that we were interested in and started our process with Dover Honda…. never got to the other two. Our time with Bob Drake was pleasant, helpful and productive. As with most people with Internet access, we don’t show up until we have done as much product homework as we can. He didn’t waste time trying to sell us a car, but rather filled in the blanks and answered any questions we had and found us vehicle in the pipeline that checked our boxes. The best thing I can say about Bob is he’s a good guy. That may sound a little underwhelming, but I always remember the “good guy”. There was none of the expected sales b/s, just a real friendly visit with a very satisfactory outcome. We left having put a deposit down on a vehicle on order with the dealership. I’ll say again, we don’t have the car yet so stay tuned. But we left feeling pretty good about buying a car from Dover Honda.

Bob was incredibly rude.

Bob was incredibly rude. I went in looking for a vehicle and was never even asked my name. Almost felt like I was a burden to Bob. When I was inquiring about my trade in, I was asked repeatedly, “why are you so worried about that”. The rest of the experience was terrible. All in all, the worst car buying experience I have had. Will never return to Dover Honda.

I came to Dover Honda looking to purchase a used Volvo. I went home at the end of the day without a purchase agreement because I was on a tight schedule and my sale associate was incapable of doing anything in a timely manner. When I left they assured me that they would call me if the vehicle was purchased. Not only was the vehicle purchased but they did not tell me. I will not be coming back, I received the worst customer service possible and they were incredibly rude to not even give me a courtesy call. Never have I talked to Such rude people who Can’t even follow through with what they say to a customer

I have been a customer at Dover Honda for 17 years now. I have purchased 6 vehicles here. I met James years ago and he never forgets who I am. He is readily available when I have a car issue. He listens and makes sure he understands. he ensures I can get my vehicle in as my schedule allows or he will find me a loaner car. He will make sure the service is warranted so I am not out of my budget. He is absolutely pleasant and personable and always has a kind work to say. If I am in the dealership for something other than service, he always makes time to say hello. He is a great person and Dover Honda is lucky he's on their team.

I visited Dover Honda for an oil change and tire

I visited Dover Honda for an oil change and tire rotation. I was greeted by Michael Souter, Express Service Advisor, who was pleasant, professional, and detailed expectations for the upcoming service. Unfortunately, for what should have been routine maintenance, the resulting effects were less than optimal. After the oil change and tire rotation was complete, the tire pressure light came on en route home. I returned to Dover Honda for a re-check of the tires' psi. The service advisor rechecked the psi on all the tires, and the tire pressure gauge was reset. The service advisor publicly reprimanded another colleague who had worked on the Honda Civic and told him not to set the tire pressure so high; and later told me that the reason the tire pressure light went on was due to a missed step with the tire rotation service ~ forgetting to reset the tire pressure gauge. It was an uncomfortable and confusing conversation for myself as a customer, and for the colleague who was publicly called out for being inept on routine vehicle maintenance. The next day, after arrival home, I noticed that the right passenger hubcap was missing ~ caused by work done the previous day during the tire pressure re-calculation. Additionally, there was a noticeable rattling sound from the right front side of the vehicle at 50mph+~ reminiscent of a similar occurrance 5 months ago when a bolt became loose and was retightened. I called Dover Honda service and was told that I could stop by anytime to have the hubcap replaced. I returned a couple of days later; however, the the Service department had closed early. I was never informed me of the early closure, and, additionally, I learned that the hubcap was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I will need to return to Dover Honda for a 3rd time ~for the hubcap, and the noticeable rattle ~ due to careless work done for simple, routine maintenance. Overall, a less than pleasant and frustrating experience (and, unfortunately, increasingly frequent). Will rethink future maintenance and service at Dover Honda.

Buying my new vehicle was a pretty easy and no hassle

Buying my new vehicle was a pretty easy and no hassle process. When we were walking through the lot, Al came out and said hello and that if we needed anything to let him know. He arranged for a test drive of a Ridgeline and off we went. After the test drive we sat down and talked a bit about the vehicle we drove and the new ones that were coming in. We left it at "I am interested but I have to arrange financing and think on it a bit more". Al was cool with that and no pressure. A few days later he called to ask if we made any decisions and I said yes I want the pickup. After that it was super simple. He sent me an email with the information the loan and insurance people would want. I sent him a document to prove financing. Then I went in to pick it up. During the pickup process, you spend about 15-20 minutes with the finance person. This is a very easy going process. Then you go back to Al who finally puts a little pressure on you. He really wants you to be happy so he is pressuring you to let him walk you through the vehicle and show you any tricks that you may not know about it. It wasn't really pressure but this is just to show how easy the process is. Al is very knowledgeable about Honda vehicles and really did show me some tricks. I enjoyed working with him and the rest of the team at Dover Honda. Incidentally, I had been to Dover Honda a few months back for a routine service on my 11 year old Honda so I already knew the people there were nice. At least in the service area.

I've always heard great things about Dover Honda. I visited the dealership about a year ago looking for a used Honda CRV t\\ in good condition loaded with features. The salesperson I dealt with was phenomenal and my initial overall experience was good. After having the car for a couple of weeks, the batter died while I traveled for four days for work. This continues to be a problem and the car has been there several times determine what's wrong with it. Finally, after being told three or four times (and having the car stay overnight for diagnostics), I was informed a specific part was causing a power drain and kills the battery. I was told the part would need to be replaced and I would need to cover the installation. I was told a part would be ordered and would arrive in three days. This was over three weeks ago and I never heard back from the dealership. I have been calling the dealership asking for the person in Service I was working with, only to be sent to voicemail. The Service person, Service Manager, and now General Manager will not return my phone calls. I imagine the dealership is understaffed and overworked. I only need someone to tell me what the status is of my repair. I travel for work and I'm tired of coming back to a car that's dead, I can't do this any more. I won't be back to this dealership. Don't contact me about trying to make this right, it's too late.

I experienced the most embarrassing and disrespectful customer service o loop experience this afternoon. After nearly 15 years of doing business with Dover Honda I have had one of the most embarrassing experiences at the Dover, NH Honda service center. As I prepared to leave with my car I proceeded to pay for the work rendered. St that moment I realized that I had forgotten my wallet at home. I asked the nice lady at the register if I could call her with my debit card information. All my personal information was in the system and that they should know I live just down the street. She politely agreed and provided me with her direct line. As I proceeded to leave the service Manager stopped me and told me that he could not allow me to leave the property without payment in full, using the analogy of you can’t go to Best Buy and leave with their merchandise without payment by just walking out. Basically, in front of other customers and fellow employees he called me a thief!! Extremely embarrassing!!! He made no initial attempts to help. As service manager you should helping customers not policing them! Fortunately, my wife was able to drive over with my wallet.

Paula is always very attentive and Marsha, in finance, is so efficient that you're in and out in no time. Dave is great at answering questions even after the sale is final. The first time we went in we were just looking for an SUV for my husband but ended up leaving with a Pilot for my him and Dave got me the CRV in the color I wanted the next day. Purchased a used vehicle 3 months ago. Nothing but problems. Have brought it in several times. The issue still has not been fixed. I purchased the vehicle mainly because I was looking for a vehicle that has navigation not Apple Play. Come to find out the navigation does not work. Told me to take a left on a major highway. No left exit. The whole time showing next turn “0” yards. Scary. Second and last vehicle I will buy at this dealership.

I've always heard great things about Dover Honda. I visited the dealership about a year ago looking for a used Honda CRV t\\ in good condition loaded with features. The salesperson I dealt with was phenomenal and my initial overall experience was good. After having the car for a couple of weeks, the batter died while I traveled for four days for work. This continues to be a problem and the car has been there several times determine what's wrong with it. Finally, after being told three or four times (and having the car stay overnight for diagnostics), I was informed a specific part was causing a power drain and kills the battery. I was told the part would need to be replaced and I would need to cover the installation. I was told a part would be ordered and would arrive in three days. This was over three weeks ago and I never heard back from the dealership. I have been calling the dealership asking for the person in Service I was working with, only to be sent to voicemail. The Service person, Service Manager, and now General Manager will not return my phone calls. I imagine the dealership is understaffed and overworked. I only need someone to tell me what the status is of my repair. I travel for work and I'm tired of coming back to a car that's dead, I can't do this any more. I won't be back to this dealership. Don't contact me about trying to make this right, it's too late.

So I came into the dealership to test drive a car. Didn't end up liking the car very much and before I left, Michele simply suggested looking to see what else they had on the lot. I'm a car fanatic so I wasn't the easiest customer to deal with and I had so much fun looking for the perfect car that fit my budget and my needs. It didn't feel stressful or forced. It was like I was going shopping with an old friend who had my best interest in mind. And when I said I didn't like a car, that was that. There were no efforts to try and get me into a specific car or to get into one at all. She simply allowed me to sit in as many cars as I wanted and test drive them until I found something i liked. That's not easy to find in a car dealership. Nor a sales person, Michele is awesome.

Completely disregard that I got the best price on my new 2020 Pilot at Dover Honda. They did give me the price I was quoted online for the exact car I wanted in the color I chose and added the roof crossbars we needed for our ski rack. We leased the car on the Saturday before President's Day and when we picked it up that week, everything was DONE. They handled the registration, talked to the Insurance Company and coordinated with Parts & Service to get the bars installed before we picked it up. We drove just under an hour from Andover, MA because someone we knew in Dover recommended them and we're very happy we did! Eric made everyone feel like family and Cody was a true professional who knew the answer to everything we asked about the car. He even picked us up at the Train Station when he delivered the car. Thank you to everyone there for making this truly the easiest car purchase I've ever had!

Rarely do I drive out of a dealership feeling confident or comfortable with the deal I just made. My experience with Dover Honda was different..it was great, and I feel that I got a very good trade for my vehicle, and a very attractive lease on my 2019 Honda Pilot. I went home at the end of the day without a purchase agreement because I was on a tight schedule and my sale associate was incapable of doing anything in a timely manner. Buyer beware!

Buyer beware!! They no longer use paper for signing. They use a tablet so that they can slip extras in hoping that you won't notice. When you do notice, less than 24 hours later, they aren't willing to give you a refund... " It can take up to 90 days". This is on a contract that I neither wanted or asked for or made aware of. They should have rewritten my loan the very next day when I actually took delivery. 😡

I visited Dover Honda for an oil change and tire

I visited Dover Honda for an oil change and tire rotation. I was greeted by Michael Souter, Express Service Advisor, who was pleasant, professional, and detailed expectations for the upcoming service. Unfortunately, for what should have been routine maintenance, the resulting effects were less than optimal. After the oil change and tire rotation was complete, the tire pressure light came on en route home. I returned to Dover Honda for a re-check of the tires' psi. The service advisor rechecked the psi on all the tires, and the tire pressure gauge was reset. The service advisor publicly reprimanded another colleague who had worked on the Honda Civic and told him not to set the tire pressure so high; and later told me that the reason the tire pressure light went on was due to a missed step with the tire rotation service ~ forgetting to reset the tire pressure gauge. It was an uncomfortable and confusing conversation for myself as a customer, and for the colleague who was publicly called out for being inept on routine vehicle maintenance. The next day, after arrival home, I noticed that the right passenger hubcap was missing ~ caused by work done the previous day during the tire pressure re-calculation. Additionally, there was a noticeable rattling sound from the right front side of the vehicle at 50mph+~ reminiscent of a similar occurrance 5 months ago when a bolt became loose and was retightened. I called Dover Honda service and was told that I could stop by anytime to have the hubcap replaced. I returned a couple of days later; however, the the Service department had closed early. I was never informed me of the early closure, and, additionally, I learned that the hubcap was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I will need to return to Dover Honda for a 3rd time ~for the hubcap, and the noticeable rattle ~ due to careless work done for simple, routine maintenance. Overall, a less than pleasant and frustrating experience (and, unfortunately, increasingly frequent). Will rethink future maintenance and service at Dover Honda.
